Engineering and Fabrication
At Brooks Engineering, we specialise in engineering and fabrication for a wide range of industries, including one-off brackets to complex welded assemblies. Our team combines precision workmanship with reliable turnaround times.
We handle everything in-house, from design and 3D modelling services through to welding, assembly and finishing.
Whether you need components for a new project or ongoing metal fabrication services, we are equipped to deliver quality results that last.
What Our Fabrication Service Includes
Our engineering and fabrication workshop in Derbyshire supports businesses across the UK with professional metal fabrication services tailored to meet specific requirements. Every project starts with your idea, whether that’s a technical drawing, a concept sketch or a production brief.
At Brooks Engineering, our experienced fabrication team also supports our vehicle body building division, producing components that are fitted to custom vehicle bodies, or in some cases, fabricating the vehicle body itself. At the same time, we undertake standalone fabrication projects for businesses outside the automotive and commercial transport sectors.
Our services include:
- Cutting, drilling, and pressing for sheet metal fabrication
- Forming, folding, and steel fabrication services for industrial structures
- Precision aluminium fabrication services for lightweight applications
- TIG and MIG welding for durable, clean finishes
- Assembly and finishing of complex components and systems
- Press braking sheet metal
We work with a wide range of materials, including mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. Our ability to fabricate and weld across all three metal types makes us one of the few regional fabricators equipped to handle both lightweight and heavy-duty projects.
We also offer in-house 3D modelling services to help turn design concepts into manufactured products. This allows us to support clients without existing CAD drawings or design resources. This is a key strength that sets us apart from many local bespoke metal fabricators.
Sectors We Work With
Our custom metal fabrication services are trusted by industrial firms, manufacturers, and operational teams across different commercial sectors including the following:
Automotive Parts and Accessories
Manufacturing and Production
Energy and Infrastructure
Quarrying and Heavy Industry
At Brooks Engineering, our projects range from custom brackets and frames to full welded assemblies such as tanks and walkways, reflecting the flexibility of our fabrication workshop.
From simple frames to complex custom industrial fabrication projects, at Brooks Engineering, we provide dependable results that meet each client’s technical and safety standards.
Every piece of our work is backed by our commitment to precision and quality control at every stage.

Engineering and Fabrication FAQS
What is fabrication and engineering?
Engineering and fabrication involve designing, forming and assembling metal components into finished products or structures. At Brooks Engineering, this process can encompass sheet metal fabrication, welding, and full assembly, depending on the project’s needs.
Is fabrication just welding?
No, while MIG welding and TIG and MIG welding are key parts of fabrication, the process also includes cutting, forming, drilling and assembly. At Brooks Engineering, our fabrication workshop manages every stage, from design to final assembly. While painting is undertaken in-house, we can also arrange specialist finishes such as powder coating, galvanising, zinc and anodising through our trusted subcontractors, ensuring each project is completed to the required standard and finish.
How much does welding fabrication cost?
Costs for metal fabrication services depend on various factors such as material type, design complexity and volume. For an accurate estimate, please get in touch with our team for a tailored quote.
Do you offer welding for external projects?
Yes! At Brooks Engineering, our welding service is available for both independent and integrated fabrication work.
Do you only work with steel?
No, we also work with mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel. This versatility enables us to undertake a wide range of custom metal fabrication projects, from lightweight aluminium builds to heavy-duty structural steel work.
